Recycle old greeting cards into party invitations

Summer is quietly sneaking away, but there is still time for an end of summer bash! So gather together some old greeting cards, paper scraps and Glue Dots® to create custom-made party invitations like these:

Supplies:

Glue Dots®: Memory Book, Micro
Pink Paislee twine
white cardstock
paper scraps
greeting cards
paper trimmer

1. Measure the greeting cards and create different designs for each card using paper scraps. (I used leftovers from my Cosmo Cricket Snorkel theme set, printed with soy-based ink.)

2. Apply the paper scraps to the front of the cards using Memory Book Glue Dots®.

3. Type and print the party information onto white cardstock. Trim, mat if desired and attach to the inside of each card with Memory Book Glue Dots®.

4. Tie twine around the front of the cards and use Micro Glue Dots® behind the bows to keep them in place.

The twine is by Pink Paislee, a scrapbook company that offers cardstock printed with soy-based ink.

The twine comes in a variety of color combinations.

Send off your party invitations and have a blast at your summer bash!

Poke a small hole in the fold of the card to wrap the twine around horizontally.
